The shop with no bar codes
Owner Bryan Craig came to antiques as a builder by trade — a clean, Wrightian eye and, in his words, "a certain discipline." Since 2018 he's run this Cheshire Bridge institution as a 75-dealer labyrinth where the rule isn't age, it's originality.
It stays deliberately analog: handwritten tickets, no bar codes, staff who remember your name and then leave you alone to hunt. Top interior designers shop here. So do first-timers. The welcome is the same for both.
The back-lot for the Hollywood of the South
Atlanta films, and Antiques & Beyond dresses the sets. The merchandise-rental service has supplied motion pictures, TV, commercials and hundreds of photo shoots — set designers come in looking for specifics, and because the shop isn't one thing, it can help.
